Here are some answers, to our most frequently asked questions.
1.) How do you clean my windows?
We use what we call a strip washer (a soft sponge on a handle) that we dip into a bucket of solution made up of water and a safe mild soapy cleaner. We soap up your window, and then use a squeegee to remove the soapy solution from your window. Then, at Hagan's Window Rescue, we take a dry lint free towel and wipe all of the corners dry to a crystal clear look. The last stage is to use a soft towel and wipe down your window sills & frames. We do all this with a neat and clean process. We do not drip water on your floors or walls.
2.) How often should I get my windows cleaned?
If your windows are like most of ours, they could probably use a cleaning every month! We have many clients that have us clean their windows monthly, either inside and outside, or just outside.
However, a vast majority of our clients like to have us clean their windows in the Spring for the upcoming Summer season, and then have us return in the Fall for a final cleaning before the cold weather comes.
For our commercial clients, we can custom plan a schedule that fits the needs of your business.
Whatever your needs may be, commercial or residential, monthly, twice a year, yearly, or even every ten years, we look forward to serving you, and putting a smile on your face.
3.) Do you clean chandeliers?
Yes, we are able to reach and clean a wide variety of chandeliers.
4.) How often should my gutters be cleaned?
Gutter & downspout cleaning is a must for your home's maintenance. Gutters & downspouts need to be cleaned and inspected at least once every year. Usually this is done in the fall after the trees have shed their leaves. This allows melting snow and ice to flow, without obstruction during the Winter, thus preventing a back up/overflow of water from possibly seeping into your home's roof & foundation, causing costly damage or flooding. In areas where trees are large and/or numerous, a Spring and/or Summer cleaning is usually warranted as well.
5.) What are ice dams?
Frustrating in a word. An ice dam is a section of ice that forms at the edge of your roof and blocks melting snow from draining into your gutters. Water backs up behind the dam and can leak into your home causing damage to walls, ceilings, insulation, and other areas. Moisture entering the home from ice dams can lead to the growth of mold and mildew. Prevention is difficult at best. Long term solutions are usually in the form of adding extra insulation and ventilation to your roof. If your are experiencing leaking inside your home from an ice dam, prompt action is needed. The snow and ice needs to be removed. We offer emergency ice dam service**. We will come out and remove the snow and ice. Once the water source is stopped, drying out the wet areas is needed to assist in preventing mold and mildew growth.
